Welcome to Brief24. These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Brief24 (“Brief24”, “we”, “us” or “our”) and govern your access to and use of the Brief24 websites, mobile applications, and related services (together, the “Service”).
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Brief24 is an AI-powered news search and discovery service. It helps you find, follow, and understand news and other publicly available information from a wide range of third-party publishers and public sources, and provides financial market data, weather information, and AI-powered features, including an AI chat, AI-generated news briefings, and AI-generated market and company analyses.
The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial informational purposes only. It is not a source of professional advice of any kind.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate registration information, keep your credentials secure, and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
If we suspend or terminate your account, you may not create a new account, use another person’s account, or otherwise circumvent the suspension without our prior written consent. Doing so is itself a violation of these Terms.
Substantially all news content available through the Service — including any headlines, summaries, images, or articles reached through outbound links — is created, owned, and published by third parties (“Third-Party Content”). Brief24 does not create, edit, endorse, or verify Third-Party Content, and all rights in Third-Party Content remain with the respective publishers and rights holders.
You acknowledge and agree that:
If you believe content displayed on the Service infringes your copyright or other rights, please contact us through our contact page with sufficient detail (identification of the work, the location of the material on the Service, and your contact information). We will review such notices promptly and remove or disable access to material where appropriate.
The Service includes features that generate content automatically using artificial intelligence models operated by third-party providers (such as Google, Anthropic, xAI, Meta, Mistral, and OpenAI). AI-generated content includes, without limitation, chat answers, research reports, news briefings, summaries, suggested questions, and market or company analyses (“AI Content”).
In these Terms, “Input” means the questions, prompts, instructions, and other material you submit to the AI features, and “Output”means the AI Content generated in response to your Input. “Output” and “AI Content” have the same meaning throughout these Terms.
You acknowledge and agree that:
Similar Output. The AI features serve many users and the underlying models are not deterministic. Other users may submit the same or similar Input and receive the same or similar Output. Output generated for you is not unique to you, and nothing in these Terms gives you any exclusive right in Output or limits what the Service may generate for anyone else.
Third-party model terms.Because Output is produced by models operated by third-party providers, your use of the AI features may also be subject to those providers’ own usage policies and restrictions. You agree not to use the AI features in a way that would breach them, and where such a policy is stricter than these Terms, the stricter rule applies to your use of that model.
Attribution. You may use Output for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. If you republish or otherwise share Output outside the Service, you must clearly identify it as AI-generated and cite Brief24 as its source, and you must not present it as human-authored journalism, as verified reporting, or as a statement made by Brief24 or by any publisher whose content it references.
These acknowledgements apply equally whether you use free or paid features of the Service. A paid subscription increases your usage allowance and available models; it does not create any warranty as to the accuracy, quality, or fitness of AI Content.
Nothing on the Service — including market quotes, charts, heatmaps, currency rates, AI market briefs, and AI company analyses — constitutes financial, investment, legal, tax, medical, or other professional advice, or a recommendation, solicitation, or offer to buy or sell any security or other instrument. Market data may be delayed, estimated, or inaccurate. You should consult a qualified professional before making any financial or other significant decision. You bear sole responsibility for any decision you make based on information from the Service.
Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription plan. Paid plans provide a periodic allowance of AI usage credits and access to additional features and models, as described on our plans page. Unused credits do not roll over between billing periods and have no cash value.
Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the then-current billing period; you will retain access to paid features until that date, and you will not be charged for subsequent periods. Except where required by applicable law or by the applicable app store’s policies, fees already paid are non-refundable.
Purchases through app stores.A subscription purchased inside our iOS or Android app is sold and processed by Apple or Google — not by Brief24. For those purchases Apple or Google is the seller and merchant of record (or acts as our authorized payment agent where local law requires), and the transaction is governed by that store’s terms in addition to these Terms. Billing, renewal, price changes, cancellation, and refunds are handled entirely through your App Store or Google Play account settings.
Accordingly, Brief24 cannot issue, approve, or reverse a refund for a store purchase. Any refund request must be made to Apple or Google and is decided by them alone under their published policies. Please also note that deleting the app does not cancel your subscription— you must cancel through the store’s subscription-management settings before the next renewal date, or the subscription will renew and you will continue to be charged.
Changes. We may change plan prices, credit allowances, available models, or features prospectively. If we materially change the price of your subscription, we will provide notice in advance, and the change will apply from your next billing period; if you do not agree, you may cancel before it takes effect.
Paid features are subject to the same disclaimers as the rest of the Service, including Sections 3, 4, 5, 9, and 10. Purchasing a paid plan does not entitle you to any particular output, accuracy level, or availability of any third-party content or AI model, and we may substitute equivalent models or providers at any time.
You agree not to:
The Service — including its software, design, branding, and any content we create — is owned by Brief24 or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. Third-Party Content remains the property of its respective owners.
When you submit Input to the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process, store, and use that Input to operate, provide, and improve the Service, including transmitting it to third-party AI providers to generate Output. You are responsible for the Input you submit and must not submit content you do not have the right to share.
As between you and Brief24, we do not claim ownership of the Output generated in response to your Input, and you may use it in accordance with these Terms — including the attribution requirements in Section 4. Because Output is produced automatically by third-party models and may draw on Third-Party Content, we make no representation that Output is original, that it is protectable by copyright, or that your use of it will not infringe the rights of a third party. You are responsible for reviewing Output and for confirming that you hold the rights you need before using it.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT AVAILABLE THROUGH IT (INCLUDING THIRD-PARTY CONTENT, AI CONTENT, MARKET DATA, AND WEATHER DATA) ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. THIS APPLIES TO FREE AND PAID FEATURES ALIKE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, BRIEF24 AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR INVESTMENT LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE, ANY THIRD-PARTY CONTENT, OR ANY AI CONTENT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF BRIEF24 FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM AND (B) US $50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, and nothing in these Terms affects statutory consumer rights that cannot be waived.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Brief24 from and against claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or third-party right in connection with the Service.
If you use the Service through an app downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play, you also agree to the applicable store’s usage rules. You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Brief24 only — not with Apple Inc. or Google LLC — and that Apple and Google are not responsible for the Service or its content and have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. To the extent required by Apple’s App Store terms, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
You may stop using the Service at any time and may request deletion of your account. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service (or any feature) at any time for violation of these Terms, to comply with law, or upon discontinuation of the Service, with notice where practicable. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, 15, and 18) survive.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Israel will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service — except where the mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence provides otherwise.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Brief24 regarding the Service. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We ship new capabilities quickly, and some are offered as beta, preview, experimental, or early-access features (“Beta Features”). Beta Features are made available “as is” for evaluation, may be incomplete or unstable, and are excluded from any availability, support, or performance expectation that otherwise applies to the Service.
We may change, limit, or withdraw a Beta Feature at any time and without notice, and content or data created through a Beta Feature may be lost. Access to a Beta Feature on a paid plan does not commit us to keeping it, to releasing it generally, or to including it in any plan in the future.
The Service lets you send us feedback — for example by rating an AI answer helpful or unhelpful, or by writing to us through the contact page (“Feedback”). Feedback is voluntary. Please do not send us confidential information or anything you are not free to share.
You assign to us all rights in the Feedback you send, and we may use it for any purpose — including to evaluate, operate, and improve the Service and to develop new features — with no obligation of confidentiality, attribution, or compensation to you. To the extent any right cannot be assigned under applicable law, you instead grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use it for the same purposes, and you waive any moral or similar rights in it to the extent permitted by law.
